COUNTRY VETERAN GOLFERS ASSOCIATION
The CVGA was formed in 1989 and included Club members from Pinjarra south to Pemberton & Augusta and east to Boyup Brook. Mandurah has its own Veterans group and at current time Augusta & Nannup clubs are not in the Assoc. although some members nominate through Busselton.
Membership is $5.00 Nomination & $5.00 annually. Competition fees are $10.00 (includes morning tea on arrival at 9am , cup of soup etc half way round, and a light snack at presentation, usually 3.45 – 4pm .
Nominations to Host Clubs must be made through own Club Delegate 7 days before event and any cancellations must be advised to Host Club by 8am on day of event. (Failure to advise cancellation for not playing may result in being excluded from next three events)
On larger grass green courses, fields are limited to 160 players, others to 140 players and 9 hole (Balingup & Greenbushes) courses to 80 players. In need Host club will request nominating clubs to ballot out a selected number of players each. WAVGA members & other State Veteran members may nominate for event direct to Host delegate 7 days before event and advising full golf link number and telephone contact number in case of need to ballot.
Draw is arranged by host club, and requests to play with selected partners are not allowed. Draws are generally arranged so that players from the same club do not play in the one four.
